Formerly known as Eucharistic Ministers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are volunteers within the parish who serve their priest, parish and congregation by distributing the Body of Christ and the Blood of Christ to all assembly members. After communion has completed, the Extraordinary Ministers return the vessels to the priest so he can return them to the Tabernacle.
