Asking for help from our Lord comes in many forms including prayer. We pray for his mercy, forgiveness, strength and love. No matter the reason we pray, it is always wise to keep in mind that God has heavenly advocates – the saints – who can intercede on your behalf, and ask for God’s graces. Remember, while on Earth, the saints had their every day weaknesses struggles, just as we do, but they had a deep devotion to God.
Many prayers to the saints also include prayers by them as well, to our Lord. All these prayers have the same Divine destination, for our salvation. (Our Catholic Prayers)
